How we handle your information

Who we are

Primary Build Inc. is a Florida corporation with offices in Miami, Florida and Montréal, Québec. It operates primarybuild.com and is responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at info@primarybuild.com.

What we collect

When you fill out the form on the Start page, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, your role, the project location, when you plan to build, the project type, any drawings you upload and any message you write.

When you email or message us, we keep the correspondence.

When you visit the site, our hosting platform records standard technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and how you reached the site, including the source of a campaign link. Some of this is collected through cookies, described below.

We do not ask for and do not want payment details, government identification numbers or other sensitive information through this site.

Why we use it

To reply to your inquiry within 24 hours and prepare your quote or send you the catalog, which is what you asked us to do. To follow up on a project you started with us. To keep records of quotes and correspondence, as a business must. To understand how the site is used and improve it. To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.

We use it on the basis of your request for the first two purposes, to run our business for records and site improvement, and with your consent where the law requires it, for example for non-essential cookies.

Marketing

We only send you news about Primary Build if you ask for it or if you are an existing client and could reasonably expect it. Every marketing message says it comes from Primary Build and has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us to opt out at any time. We never sell personal information.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run the site and our business on our behalf: the website platform that hosts primarybuild.com and stores form submissions, our email and document systems, analytics and, if you contact us on WhatsApp, that service. Each is bound to use your information only to provide its service to us.

The architects, engineers and contractors working on your project, when you ask us to coordinate with them.

Authorities or professional advisers when the law requires it, or a buyer if Primary Build or its assets are sold, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Where it is kept

Our systems are hosted in the United States. If you are in Canada or elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws differ from those at home. We use contractual protections with our providers to safeguard it.

How long we keep it

Inquiries that do not lead to a project are kept for 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted. Quotes, contracts and project records are kept for the duration of the project and for the period that tax, construction and warranty obligations require, then deleted or anonymized. Website analytics are kept in aggregate.

Cookies

The site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, and analytics cookies that tell us which pages are used. Non-essential cookies stay off until you accept them in the cookie notice, and you can change your choice there or in your browser settings at any time. Declining does not affect the form or any other function of the site.

The Socials page embeds our Instagram and LinkedIn feeds. Those services may set their own cookies when the feeds load and may collect information about your visit under their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, withdraw consent you gave us, and object to or ask us to limit how we use it. Write to info@primarybuild.com and we will answer within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

If you are in Québec, you also have the right to receive the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used format, and to complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec. If you are elsewhere in Canada, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If you are in Florida or elsewhere in the United States, write to us and we will apply the rights your state law gives you.

Security

Form submissions travel over an encrypted connection and are stored on platforms with access controls, and only the people who need your information to answer you can see it. If an incident involving your information creates a real risk of harm to you, we tell you and the authorities the law names. No system is perfectly secure, so if you would rather send drawings another way, email us and we will arrange it.

Children

This site is for adults planning a build. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our site links to Instagram, LinkedIn and WhatsApp. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we tell you before it takes effect.
